We don't play around when it comes to protecting the planet.
Our compostable 6 and 4-pack rings are made from spent grain, and The Hat's taproom uses exclusively eco-friendly compostable products.
We have a company wide composting and recycling program; and our team diverts hundreds of pounds of food and packaging waste from the landfill to composting and recycling facilities every week .
FURY FOR A FEAST
Fury for a Feast is a food drive and fundraiser for Active Faith and Blessings in a Backpack –South Lyon Chapter held every August here at The Hat. Over the last 11 years, we have donated over $130,000 and gathered over 13,000 lbs of food at Fury for a Feast!
Now, more than ever, we have families in our community struggling. Let’s help take food off of their stress list!! The funds and food raised by Fury for a Feast have made a real difference for many families in our community that need our help. Barrel-aged beers, amazing live music and all for a good cause!
ST. PATS FOR ST. JUDE'S
Here at The Hat, if we have a reason to throw a party then we have a reason to raise money for an awesome cause. Over the last decade we have helped raise and donate nearly $29,000 to the wonderful charity- St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
No green beer at this party, we release Traxxx Night Fury - our BBA Imperial Stout with peanut butter, toasted coconuts, cocoa nibs and vanilla beans - and a dozen other limited release stouts along with some amazing Irish-themed fare.
FEEDING OUR COMMUNITY
We team up every November with Blessings in a Backpack-South Lyon to bring a delicious holiday meal to families on the federal hot lunch program in the South Lyon School District.
With the help of our amazing customers, we are able to deliver a free, delicious scratch-made Thanksgiving meal made by our amazing kitchen team to more than 500 people in the South Lyon community every Thanksgiving.

Witch's Hat is a proud sponsor of House That Beer Built, which celebrates the passion of Michigan's craft beer industry and its dedication to our community by funding affordable homeownership opportunities in Washtenaw County.
DRINK BEER, SAVE ANIMALS!
We LOVE animals. and what do we love more than animals? Helping amazing shelters like the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
Each year we sponsor 5 cages with this incredible no-kill shelter, and we brew our beloved Edward's Portly Brown in honor of our friends at the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
